What makes a TMD Smart Lock secure?
Forgetting or losing your keys is finally a thing of the past.
Our smart locks feature a keyless design with no traditional keyhole, making them immune to conventional break-in methods. Common theft techniques are no longer effective; there is simply nothing to drill, pick, or pull.
By combining keyless Proximity Unlock technology with extremely rugged hardware, TMD Smart Locks are certified to both ART-2 and IP57 standards. This ensures our Smart Locks are officially recognized and approved by insurance providers.
How does the TMD Chain Lock work?
The TMD Chain Lock offers a true keyless experience using advanced Bluetooth Proximity Unlock technology. There is absolutely no faff: your smartphone stays in your pocket, and the lock automatically recognizes your unique digital ID as you approach. Simply press the button on the lock once to unlock and ride away.
For added security, the lock features a built-in 100dB alarm. You can easily arm the alarm via the TMD app or by double-pressing the lock button. Once activated, the alarm will trigger instantly if any unauthorized movement is detected, keeping your ride safe and sound.
Can I unlock without my phone?
Yes. Every TMD Lock features a manual override. Simply use the button on the lock to enter the unique security code you’ve set up in the app, ensuring you’re never locked out.
How long does the battery last?
A single charge keeps your lock powered for approximately 9 months under normal use. When it’s time to top up, you’ll be back to 100% in just 2 hours.
How loud is the alarm?
The alarm emits a sound of approximately 100 decibels. Enough to scare any thief away.
What can I do with the TMD Lock App?
The TMD Lock App gives you total control by allowing you to share digital access with friends and family instantly: no physical keys required. You can also monitor real-time activity logs to see exactly who used the lock and track its last known location to ensure it’s always where it should be.
